BODY ART: A Night of Fantasy & Art

 

Body Art is art in which the human body serves as the canvas.  The human body in its many forms is the canvas  by which the artist can channel and express his vision.

 

On Saturday June 20^th The Metro will host an art exhibition unlike any seen before where creativity and passion will merge directly onto the  human body.  We will feature the artwork of New Orleans own Craig Tracy. 

 

 

Craig Tracy has painted on almost every canvas known to man, but he says that  “nothing even comes close to the beauty and complexity of the human canvas.”  His passion can currently be found on display at 827 Royal St. in the French Quarter, and also online at www.craigtracy.com.

 

 

Craig will create 5 art pieces for the evening.  Come see the process beginning with the blank canvas in its purest form to the  exquisite finished product. 

Craig will also provide 4 artists that will produce two pieces of artwork each. 

 

 

The 4 artists’ finished product will be presented to the crowd in a runway competition later that evening.  There will be a special panel of judges that will oversee the competition.  Among the judges will be Craig Tracy, himself, Josh Danzig of  “Where Y’At” magazine, and Hollis Thomas of the New Orleans Saints.

 

Of the five pieces produced by Craig Tracy four will be introduced via a brave body audition/interview.  This means that any female interested in serving as a living canvas is welcome to meet with Craig for an introduction prior to the event.
